四都乡平田村地处松阳县东北部，距松阳县城15公里，东北与武义县竹客村接壤，西南临本乡庄河、陈家铺村，村庄海拔610米。
平田村交通便利，220省道经过村脚，且位于寨头岭隧道出口，开车到县城只需要15分钟。
平田村三面环山，东面背靠鸡毛山，北面天台尖，南面杨梅花山，西侧相对开阔。其布局严格按照风水进行规划。
丽金驿路在村边经过，仍保留有茶叶交易地点和驿站。
平田村大部分建筑朴素、简洁，甚少装饰。体现出当地以农耕为特点的生活方式。
门、窗（框）形式简单，以木板门、格楞窗为主。
合院类建筑装饰较多，集中在花格窗、牛腿等木构件，壁画等。设计公司
